Default Dressing for the occaision..

I've always played out of the German or French ports but now with GWX installed I decided to go 11th Flotilla out of Bergen. So I'm way up in the northern latitudes,it's evening, the sky is cloudy with a very pale moon on the horizon, the sea is a very glassy, icy blue with Sobers whitecaps breaking beautifully on a heavy swell, the wind is howling in from Siberia the whole scene says COLD! and my poor Watch crew are very unsuitably dressed in open neck shirts with no gloves or caps.Anyone know for a mod to rectify this?

Actually, that is a very good question.

It deserves some brainstorming here.

Gee this is a great idea!
imagine a different set of clothes for different climes.
Cold weather gear for up north
Stock as it is for french and german bases
Tropical for indian ocean

Perhaps get Jscones to revise Commander to ask which area of operations your dealing with. Similiar to the fatigue mod or the weather generator already working in his latest versions.

No revision necessary - SH3Cmdr already supports settings specific to different regions through its Flotilla folder structure.

Indeed, the feature is already used to force the correct water textures for Med and Arctic campaigns (non-SH3Cmdr users only ever get Atlantic water textures in their campaigns regardless of where they are due to a stock "bug").

You just need to plonk your Med crew textures into the \Flotilla\907\data\ folder and your Arctic ones into \Flotilla\906\data\. You can do the same for the Black Sea/Flensburg (30/33) and Atlantic/Indian (10) Flotillas, but you'll need to remember when to add and remove the files so that you don't get, for example, Black Sea textures after you've "moved" to Flensburg.
