Default Fuel....Is it just me, or

Is it just me, or does your fuel and range, mostly range in the same boat go down as the years go on?

Early in a carreer I have up to 65K in a type VIIB at 9kt. Early in 1943 it drops to 15K at 9kt. I was just wondering if this is typical for everyone?

Do you use SH3 Commander (IIRC 2.6). Late War Limited fuel supply was modeled in that version. I have come across it before in a IXD2.

FYI - This has been removed in SH3Cmdr version 2.7

Your range should actually increase as you upgrade your boat and engines
If your using GWX then consider the info dan has posted...use SH3Commander 2.7

Not to hijack the thread, but I'm running patched vanilla & just enabled "Limited fuel".. Should I invest in the engine upgrades for my IXC?? I like cruising the caribbean for tankers..

Thanks!!

Did this happen once or is it recurring? If it's only occurred on rare occasion you may have been issued one of the limited range malfunction files.

Just a little question on the side: When im using the GW Kapselgeblase or the MAN Buchigeblase, how does this influence my fuel & range?

Good question.

IRL it depends how the chargers and injection systems work and when they are turned on. In WW2 aircraft, high altitude superchargers use more fuel. However this may not be the case in the u-boat motors as they are very different and however it works IRL, that may not be the way it works in SH3.

I'll do some tests today and find out for you if I get some time.
