Default Problems with GWX

Hi guys!

Well I got GWX installed and cranked it up to see what it looked like. very good so far, except the port running light on the boat was green instead of red.

I did not go anywhere with the patrol as I wanted to set up the boat and crew that was generated via SH III Commander.

Next time I thought I would try the Integrated Orders option to see how it worked. Went into the sim and there were no crew voices. All the background voices, music and sounds were ther but nothing from the various crew members. So, I decided to exit, disable the Integrated Orders and try again.

When I returned to the sim I still had no voices though the other sounds were still there but I chose to press on and at least get out of the Jade Roads and see if I could sort something out later. I found the Flottenbegleiter and started following her, only problem was she was on a course of approx 165 deg and simply kept on going. Didn't know there were amphibious!

Any suggestions?

Cheers

Brad

Did you ROLLBACK SH3 Commander before enabling/dissabling any MODS?

EDIT - By the sounds of it, when you exited from your first load you choose SAVE & EXIT. You should have used DOCK AT ......(wherever). As far as SH3 is concerned you are still in patrol and not docked in port.

All additional mods must be added when docked in base (like above).

Also if you save your game while you are close to a port and reload the the save, the ships wont follow theirs designated route.
Either start the patrol from start or next time you do a save , be sure you are far out from the port.

There is a Hard coded bug in SHIII, that if you save when in port before departing
the Ships around you mught start behaving a strange way, like Going into land
and some times explode....

Do never save in port or harbor, try saving after , when you reach open see...

Default Voices!

Thanks guys for all your suggestions, particularly about the save in port stuff.

I did in fact delete that career and started again but still had no crew response voices. The Flotenbegleiter worked fine, however. I will also delete this new one as it was simply to see what would happen.

I am a little unsure of the SH III Commander "Rollback." When that is executed what exactly does it do? I would imagine that it takes the sim back to the basic SH III with the GWX upgrade prior to any other changes?

You must understand that what goes on behind the "On/Off" button is, to me at least, part of the great and secret mystery of the universe.

Brad

PS Can that green port running light be fixed?

This is an easy fix..we'll see if we can implement it in the update fix, but it is upto KL

Try going into the sound options after the first loading screen
You can adjust crew voices volume through there

Would it do any good to "Roll Back" SH III in SH 3 Commander?

When SH3 Commander is used it applies/makes changes to SH3 Files. Therefore it is nessecary to always roll back SH3Cmdr before you add any other mods/files which could change the same files.

In your case I have assumed that you enabled the 16KM ATM mod without rollingback SH3 Cmdr.

My suggestion would be to rollback SH3Cmdr & disable all Mods. Then start SH3, via the SH3 Shortcut, and see if you still have problems. Start with a new campaign, do not try to use any saved games. If it works then enable your mods and start via SH3Cmdr.

Good luck

EDIT - SH3 Cmdr roll back does not roll back SH3 it just removes the changes that SH3Cmdr made.

No joy Danlisa! Looks like re-installing the whole sim will be the only option. Susch is life.
