It should soon be even more fun watching an air raid as your entering or leaving port

Undoubtedly. The only thing missing now is dogfights and bomber interceptions. Hope they'll be in Silent Hunter 4.

I think I'll just stay in the harbour from now on. It's the safest place by far.

Run the "Malta" single mission in GWX.

Watch what happens when allied aircraft arrive on the scene.

BTW, be prepared for a nasty suprise if you start a career in Brest, January the 1st, 1944. A whole bunch of bombers shows up and....well......

After I left Bergen in June '42, I immeadiatly ran into a large task-force (Illustrious-class carier + heavy escorts), after just appearing out of the fjord!
It really was within the 1st 12hrs of my patrol, lol.
And of course, there were aircrafts patrolling all around me...they quickly downed the few kites that the Luftwaffe send.
Had to do allot of evasives with my fresh crew, just to get going dammit.

This makes me feel fortunate that Silent Hunter III won't launch missions for me (I've still to work out which one of the 100+ new entries in the LND layer is causing the CTD that's been keeping the project stagnant for almost a week).

Hah, ya sorry wretches. I've got CTDs, so no enemy airplanes for me.

How I love this photo. Two geniuses, dog and photo-
grapher, working in perfect unison to produce a master-
piece.
