I finished my first GWX patrol. Pyro Ammo ship
![]() ![]() It really felt like a patrol as it was....planes, warships, all the new vessels. The skins are outstanding. Nothing parallels my first experience with GWX. BTW whoever worked on the u-boat rolling with the surf ![]() ![]() ![]() Maybe the boys working on SH4 should get you on the payroll ![]()

![]() And when the Hunt Destroyers, start to pin you down like hell ![]() There you will have to use all your brains and intelegence with your skill, to see surface again.... ![]() It hapend to me allready and, mate that is really fun and hard to rock bro... Now you will have to stop your engines to full them, and run at low speed, as deep as you can go... ![]() You will see... ![]() |

yes, thoses escort warchips are hard to feint...
When they catch you, they won't let you go so easily Anyway, it's a little "funnier". ![]() But I think there is absoloutly no way out within 50m under the surface... and that's a bit frustating ![]()

Change of tactics definitely!
Once you fire on a convoy, get down as deep as you can, as quickly as you can without tipping off the escorts. Work your way out from them to reload, and recharge the batteries, then head back in to them again. Repeat this as long as your ordinance holds out.

I understand your ![]() But you have to act and think like a U-Boat Captain would... Example: Lets say you found a Convoy and fierd and sunk the Hunt or warship leading the convoy, first you have to search is using your periscope, spoting the other escorts reaction movement, they will start imediately looking for you ![]() So go as deep as you can go and at the same time when diving run the engine for a wile , not to mush time, at full speed change direction when you are diving, and low the engine speed after you submerge the Sub completly, activate Silent running and go deep as you can at slow speed, If they start Pining you down, make small direction changes from time to time, and what i do a lot is to stop engines completly, remember that your engines sound is one of the things they can ear with their Hidro. so keeping that in mind you have to run at low speed when you are been hunted... ![]() If you stop your engines from time to time you will see that the stealth meter will turn green again, the reazon for this is that above they loose your sound contact, so they will go nuts, trying to find you, stoping your engines for some minutes will give you a chance of thinking and geting them Without your Diesel sound and that can be the chance for you to think what to do and ear their engines above on surface, and from that calculate if they are passing by, or just in a frustrating search for your Sub.... Imagine you have your eyes closed, and someone is walking nearby you, you could thru that know that person location Thru his sound steps.... Now imagine he stops, you would be without the sound reference and would get unsure of his location... ![]() ![]() Keep this in your mind when you lead your crew... ![]() |
