Better to be early...!!! Since people have diffeerent DL speeds, i think the time when they actually get GWX will vary.

Well mate, in all fairness don't you think it might be better to give everybody time to DL it and play it?

I'm excited. I left Wilhelmshaven on June 1, 1940. Just in time for Operation Juno! Its now the 5th and I'm booking it to Narvik and should be there in about 3 days. Hopefully I'll be able to catch some Brits hightailing it!

Great job on adding the Operations and appropriate radio messages, guys. I really like the nav map too, with all the new labels.

Yes, yes, Kpt. That is my sole intention. I dont want anyone to answer before they have tried it out!

Started a patrol in the black sea last night, went to engage 2 unarmed russian tug boats on the surface with my type 2 flak , but as I closed in, two hungarian stukas pounced on the tug boats with bombs and machine gun fire - sunk them both in seconds... i was very impressed

I also checked out Serg's beaufighter with rockets in the mission editor, woah those things will kick your boats arse in to middle of next week if youre not careful

Ju_88,
Your gonna love the black sea campaign--try to time it so you can get involved with "operation 60,000" .

I want to war on 2 patrols last night.
Early 1940 in a IIA 1st flotilla.

I saw light-up neutral ships on my way to the patrol grid in the Shetlands. However after a week of bad weather on my patrol grid I had to turn back due to fuel shortage. I dived after a plane sighting on the Scottish border and returned home.

The second patrol sent me to the essex coast where I had 3 weeks of bad weather .
I fired a spread of 3 torps at a C&V destroyer. The wind speed was 15 and the u-boat could not turn around 180deg until i increased my speed to above 2knts.
2 Torps hit at ~3m depth amidships. The destroyer exploded and sank within 30 seconds.

Can't wait for some better weather, a VIIC and some Atlantic convoys!

my thoughts on GW:hmm:

i will finish downloading it, and then play it for a week, adapting myself from IUB to GW.

THEN i will dare to make any kind of comment.

if GWX is a s big as it seems, how DARE users comment now? all that is being said here can not be for real, less than 2 days after release.

GW 1.1a users might have impressions, but to those folks too: USE it before making up your mind...

_Seth_ my friend, you need to get a life!:hmm:

i see that...

i was in a similar situation myself a few years ago... ask the folks over at sim-outhouse.com in the Cfs 3 Forum.

it is an evolution thing, once you grow up, you realize it doesnt matter how much you post, but what you post.

Quality versus Quantity...

for now keep going.
the sooner you get bored, the sooner you wil start playing sh III, pacific storm...

or jhust gert a job and make money...
