Default SH3 commander question

Hi,

I just returned to port after three patrols in U-36 on X-mas eve 1939. I was planning to switch over to a IX-B, and simulate a working up period by keeping the boat in port until June 1st 1940. Just was notified that the Oblt was transferred to a shore command.

My question, I'd like to start a new career with the first officers name, and I would like to port over my existing crew to the new boat. is this possible?

You can start a career with any name you like using SH3Cmd. Now as far as the crew I don't think you can do it but I'm not 100% sure

Yes it is, but to be honest time is tight for me to search for you now. But if you search this forum you will find instructions on how to do it - I think I posted some recently.

Sorry, but I have a mod to upload...

Bump so that maybe someone can drag themselves away from the manual for long enough to help me out.

Oh, I should have said, I did several searches with as many search phrases as I could think of but no luck.

Try this one, Leaf...

http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...commander+crew

And if I posted the link wrong, do a forum search on "Post War Life and SH3". This one was started on 10-23-06 or something by mookiemookie.

Regards,

I took the Crew_Career_30.cfg file and copied to the SH3 cmdr folder in the crew\u36\data\cfg folder and renamed the file to crew_config_VII_1.cfg, and the other two files. I followed the career set up directions to a "T" and still no joy. Mr. Jones, any ideas??

I've a question on uninstall of SHIII Commander..... where is the uninstall? There is none in Add/Remove nor in Start/Programs. No mention of SHIII Commander 2.4 there at all.

I don't want to install 2.7 over 2.4. I have changed the name of 2.4 tho to SHIII Commander-Vanilla. So maybe the 2.7 install will be ok????

I think if there isn't an uninstall option you can just delete the whole directory in the C\Program Files\SH3Cmd. Then you can install the new one using the auto-installer

Mel, I found it.

It's in C: Drive/Program Files/SHIII Commander folder as unins000.exe Setup/Uninstall. And it does work.
