i did several things. 1. i moved the pc downstairs so i'd still be in the same room, and 2. i got her dvd box sets of her favourite stuff.

now she watches what she wants (i.e. girly stuff) without me complaining, because i'm sinkink allied shipping. and because i'm still in the room i can always just hit the pause button and help with all the nigly nagging things wifes nag about.

also if its too loud, headphones. they help. also i play when she's gone to bed, fortunatly i can run on very little sleep so i come to bed at about 2ish so i get a good 3 hours of play in when she's asleep.

"Look dear, you know how in my line of work you don't have the luxury of leaving the job at work ?...Well, danlisa is a mate and he's nearly suicidal so I can't just walk away and not help him !...If I can just give him a little more counselling, perhaps into the new year and I'm sure he'll soon be feeling better"

I usually tell her these words, "Would you rather see me smoking and drinking hanging out with my friends or let me play sh3?" Always work and of course you must learn how to compromise and family always come first.

Thats a good one, "I can play SH3 or be passed out in an alley, your choice"

You're lucky. Usually when I say something like that her reply is 'NEITHER'

No matter what I try to do, closing doors-pay her-kissing her, she keeps telling me this: Grow up!

Women...I think she's jealous, I'm afraid she's gonna find the sledgehammer one day, and I'll find my pc in a thousand pieces...and then it's my turn

I know exaclty what you mean Mel.

Tonight, I have agreed to give most of the evening to her. Afterall, she has put up with me testing GWX solidly every evening for the past 30 days. I wouldn't have been a good tester if I didn't devote a lot of time to it.

@ GWX Team - that's right you're my excuse:rotfl:

I'm pleasently surprised none of you haven't mentioned giving her her own torpedo (batteries included). Then again why have a fake one when you can have the real thing.

You got away lightly. I gave mine (and she's not even a wife yet!!!) tickets to the theater, clothes and CDs she likes and she still complains
I gave my wife to be Limoge, clothing, meals and trips with her to get some time to play it, I know I'm going to get less once I'm married. I let her watch her vampire movies while I play SHIV!

Tell her to take her mother or sister out for some retail therapy!! Then you can get some serious time for SHIII!
