increase renown?

i was just wondering if there was a way to increase renown by editing a file
if so
could anyone tell me how to

There is a way but won't you sleep better and feel better about yourself if you went out and earned it the regular way?

BTW, I do not know how to change the config file to do this

Install GW, then use the Kid's Mod.

im not so desperate
but i wouldn mind having the renown to buy an IXC and some upgrades

This goes against the grain, now I will have to give myself six of the best.

Alright here's how, go to My Documents and locate the folder SH3 from there data/cfg/Careers in there your find your folder what ever the name you gave it in your career. OK, open up locate the CFG called patrols, open with notepad scroll down to the bottom, you should see this.

HullIntegrity=
DeltaRenown=
NbSaves=
ChangedRank=

In the DeltaRenown give your self for example 50000.00000 and save. if you done it right you should see it in the game and you can buy what ever.
