You suck Biggles! I been tryin to talk my Ol Lady into lettin me get a new rig. She's always sayin "Why should we spend 3 grand on a computer that you just play games on?" Jeez, doesnt that question kinda answer itself?

So, Ive had to settle for the upgrade routine... for now.

A new one? that would be more expensive..because you first need to spend a lot of $$$ to get her in your house...and after that you have to keep them happy.

if she is saying ''Why should we spend 3 grand on a computer that you just play games on?" Reply with the following '' Dont get me started on all the shoes, clothes and handbags you bought that you just wear on a special day!!!!''

GRATTIS!!!

That´s congrats in Swedish.

I´ve been on leave for a couple off days, had to play Cmr5. I´m a "Webadmin" at hotlaps.de on the Cmr5 competition and have to do some duty time there.

But to night I will set sail again

Good luck with your new machine, hope it runs like h....

I have recently upgraded my video card, RAM, and HDD.

MB, CPU, and DDR2 RAM will be next. (reminds self to get a job first).

awwww glad to see i'm not the only one to make the jump:

Old system
AMD XP 2500+, 1 gb ram, Radeon 9250

New!!!
GeForce GT KO (picked up at Frys two days ago)
New!!!
Ordered Bare bone system with:
Core duo2 E6600 2.4Hz
ASUS P5B deluxe P965, SLI motherboard
2GB PC6400 DDR2 800 dual channel ram (in 1 gb Dimms so I can add more ram later if needed)
Sony DVD recorder (don't have one and want to backup my music on one disk.
Sound blaster sound card, PCI
Apevia Case with temp gauge... ect
650w ATX power supply, SLI ready

The SLI ability, room for more ram, and 650w PS. should let me expand the system if/ when it is nessary.

Direct X10 is a worry. Things are allways changing.

BRING ON GWX AND SILINT HUNTER IV. HELL I MIGHT EVEN BUY DOOM 4.

Edit: or is the quake 4.

If you want a shooter to challenge your system, try F.E.A.R. It's better than Quake 4 I think. It's not for the faint of heart, though. :hmm:

Yup, FEAR is a great game, and Quake 4 is crap, IMO.
