Default Soviet submarine in Paris

It was a rumor since 2 days in Paris, a soviet or russian submarine surface in the center of the city near the Louvres museum in the Tulleries garden befor the police can do anything to secure the aera, holligans tags and paint the poor sub .
I walk to the foutnain and discover it is true

At sometime , the mast rises and we can hear the captain (via the interphone systeme) saying in russian : "what is the depth?"

Here some shoot I made

I have 20 photos of the sub, I will make a zip and upload it on rapidshare for thoses who want them.

I think its fake.

A submarine could PROBABLY drive on the surface that far, but no way it could havev done it submerged....too shalow

This submarine is from Alexander Ponomarev, a ex-russian naval enginner who make some artistic concept with submarine. In 1996 he paint a Kilo a make a trip aboard in the arctic ocean

you can see most of his art here: http://alexandre.ponomarev.free.fr/

and for a video of the 1996 painting of the Kilo

click on Francais, then at the end of the page on 1996 and click on VIDEO (sorry no direct link, it is a flash website)

Here a rar file ith all my photos of the FIAC 2006 Kilo in the Tuilleries

DownloadLink: http://rapidshare.com/files/1036155/...paris.rar.html

That thing is way too small to be a kilo.

I am not sure that the 1996 painting is a kilo. The shape of the submarine looks wrong.Whiskey perhaps?

Let me put it this way:

Its a too small submarine, yet too big to "surface" in the Seine.

ASWnut I think that if you look carefully it may be in a landlocked pond!!The circular edge of the pond being a bit of a give away

It's a mockup, tabgo sail on some hull structure. For fun, and a laugh.

That hull looks like cloth draped over some arches. Or, if not cloth, pretty thin sheet metal.

Agreed...there are ripples in the "hull" at the top left side of the first photo.
