Uboat type start dates

When starting a new career game, i think theres three basic ways to approach what boat to start with and when. Depending on how rigid a ruleset you adopt for yourself. Or at the least, this is what i hold myself to.

1.) When the first boat of that type was commissioned.
or
2.) When the first boat of that type acutally sailed on its first patrol
or
3.) When a specific uboat was comissioned or when a specific boat first sailed.


One and two, i think ive got some basic info. Three, is just simply looking up an individual boat and mimicing it. Personnally ill do any one of the three, depending on how strict i am with myself.

Ok then, unless im mistaken, (and i could very well be):

The first:
VIIB:
(i didnt look it up, no point.)

VIIC:
was U-69. Commissioned 11/40, first sailed on 2/41

7C/41:
was U-292, commssioned 8/43, first sailed on 5/44. (intrestingly, U-293 commissioned after u-292 sailed in 4/44)

IXB:
was u-64, comissioned 12/39, first sailed 4/40.

IXC:
was U-66, comissioned 1/41, first sailed 5/41

IXC/40:
was U-183, comissioned 4/42, first sailed 9/42

IXD2:
was U-178, commissioned 2/42, first sailed 9/42 (intrestingly, U-179 sailed in 8/42, U177 comissioned after U-178, sailed in 9/42)
