Default New sound for snorkel + air raid warning

Hey Guys,

can anybody give me some advices for the following problems?

1. Snorkel-sound

If I extand or retrect the snorkel I always hear the ChE saying "Jawohl Herr Kaleun". I want to change this with a new mechanical sound like the periscope. At first I changed a wav.-file with the new sound to an ogg.-file and titled it "ChE_K_Snorkel_intact". It is the name of a file, that is not used by the game. Now my question is, how can I attach the snorkel command to this ogg.-file? I couldn`t solve the problem with set keys.

2. Air raid warning

I have a air raid warning sound file (siren). Pro forma I replaced the file calls "B-24 airplane damaged 2" with this new sound. Combined with the new air defense plattforms in habours it really feels very impressing. As you now can imagine the problem is, that the sound only taks place if a B-24 is shot down after the beginning of the air attack.

Is there any idea, that ensures the sound only takes place in harbours with an advance warning time?

Thanks a lot.

I really havn't started messing with sound files yet but a possible idea for:hmm: #2-the air-raid warning:

Maybe try to merge your "siren" file in with the AA guns firing file (if there is such a thing). That way when the harbor guns start to open up--the siren will kick in.

Don't know if that will work but maybe one of the guys here who have been tweaking the sound files for awhile will be able to help you with a solution.
ps: if you get it working please post your fix or make it available

If i recall "Some" static AA have nodes so you could attach a siren and or a search light aswell, so when the plane comes into range the light will be triggered aswell as the sound.

Hi mate, it's like a ship, "nodes or hardpoints" is like where you have the weapons
Each weapon has it's own hardpoint, you can add more or remove said weapons, so the AA you could have say a couple..1) the main gun 2) the searchlight not sure how you can attach the sound to said searchlight..i'm still working on this
