Some trivia: Beery, who was an accomplished and active modder for RB3D, also extensively worked on SHIII mods!

I've also seen your desktop image before. Undoubtedly I saw it on www.theaerodrome.com which has been the best WWI air war site since 1997.

Kind regards,

I'm another major RB3d fan. It's the only sim I play in campaign mode on a regular basis nowadays; ATM I only play SH3 to mod.

Great job completing a career; I usually manage between 5-10 victories before I take a bullet to the head, collide with an enemy plane, get captured, or leap from my burning Nieuport at 10,000 feet.

Iambecomelife:

To be honest, I didn't play RB3D in DID mode. The game's mechanics simply are too unfair in my view to complete an entire career with DID. I'm specifically referring to:
-the unnatural amount of damage planes can take (I often have to hit a plane over 200 times, and this can take as many as 10 minutes, that's just wrong)
-the stupidity of fellow pilots (and enemy as well)
-the dangers of maiming/wounding/being captured (you never know when a wound becomes a maiming, what's going to happen when you're captured and in my case I've even been captured in safe territory)

I started out in August 1915 and I had to reload quite a few times. Sometimes I could play several missions in a row and sometimes I'd lost an evening trying to make it through a single one. I am convinced it is impossible to complete a DID RB3D career.

For WWI, I've not yet found any sim to top RB3D.

Kind regards,

Eichenlaub

A screen from Brothers in Arms that I photoshopped and added borders to. I'm quite proud of that one actually.

I just realised I started this thread! AND already showed off mine.
