Default Another "omfg grey wolves is great" thread.

I just tried Grey Wolves out for the first time last night, and... I just gotta say: Jesus christ you guys are GREAT! If your goal was to was to immerse me into the game, well dammit, mission accomplished. I'd mention everything that I loved, but damn, theres just too much to say! From the periscope to the main menu screen, everything's been redone so I feel even more like a German man in a small tin can.

But I got a few questions, first, is it me or did you guys change the view from the bridge? It's not a problem, I just wanna know if I'm right or crazy.

Two, what are some additions that I can use but arn't so obvious? For example the pull down clock and the pop-out gauges. Is there anything else?

Third, is there anyway to start the pull-down clock without using the periscope stop watch?

Great job, guys, I gotta say. Also, can't wait for GWX!

Thanks in advance for the answers to my questions, and most of all...

Happy Huntin', Comrades!

Red Menace
Do you mind sharing what about GW that you *don't* like?
I want to complete my 1st career before I install it. GWX ver 3 will probably be the most current GW mod then, lol.:rotfl:

Hmmm.... what I don't like?:hmm: That's hard to say. It's basically the same game, they just made it better.

Well, only one small thing really, it's that they redid the speeds of the outside camera. I feel that the regular speed is too slow, and the fast one is too fast.

Real small complaint, teeny one really. Only one I can think of at this point. Everything else is done better.

Just wait, GWX (the next version of GW) is coming out in 3-4 weeks and will be even better. The GW devs say the step from GW 1.1a to GWX will be the same as vanilla Sh3 to GW

Hey, red menace, there is also pull down maps, and the F1 key is mega now, you can for instance check milk cow dates and positions.

I agree about the camera, that is the only thing that is better in the vanilla.

Default GW non-obvious additions

There's the flag and dates at war checker on the periscope as well - top left corner. Very usefull when presented with a juicy non-english target

I´m not sure about this, but I think the external cam has bigger zoom in GW, so it feels like it is slower. Tho, not sure about this. :hmm:

Hi mate... Check the upper left hand corner of your F5 screen. You'll be able to see the corners of the drag-downs there.
