Submarine operational tactics are imparted to Fleet members on more advanced courses.
To unlock the door you have to fight your way up the food chain.

Naturaly people who have climbed the greasy pole are reluctant to divulge their well earned rewards !
However it is true for example that the substansive contents of say the SWs SOBC and SOAC courses
are 'out there' if you are a keen and observant 'Searcher.' More advanced course information is scarcer !

It is regretable but entirely realistic in todays 'climate' to accept limitations on the exposition of more
advanced theory whether in this area of naval tactical operations, or flight simming and ATC.
I suspect that attempts to push boundaries will be thwarted !

I sold my CDs again months ago - but kept the manual - that much I love to read in it occasionally!
Maybe SCS should have dona a better job on the game itself, and release a crappy manual instead of the other way around.
Selling the game and keeping the manual is tantamount to torturing yourself Skybird.
Everytime you read the excellent manual you will ask yourself why, why didn't SCS make the game to the same standard ? :p
You are right, but I am beyond that...

Think of it this way: if they ever get it fixed, say in one or two or three years, I can buy it again at smile price - and must not need to print a 600 paged pdf then. Will not cost me more money than I got for the CDs back then, but I can use the money meanwhile. And if they do not fix it - the money's mine anyway I bought the game already second hand, you know. And then sold it third hand
