trouble with moving external stern torps

I'm having problems moving external reserve stern torps on board in a IXC (1942) campaign. I was trying to move both bow and stern externals down below and kept getting "not enough men in X torpedo compartment," so the loading stopped several times until I could get enough crew. However, the stern externals locked up with 17:36 to go and wouldn't move. When I moved the crew to the stern torp room I got "not enough crew in bow torpedo compartment." So I moved them back to the bow torp room (the green bar was 9/10), but the stern external torp wouldn't budge past 17:36 left.

Figuring it was just a glitch with the campaign, I started a new one and the same thing happened. The crew could reload the stern torps, but not the external reserves. I got the same messages, i.e. "not enough crew in bow torp compartment," then when I put plenty of crew in the bow compartment the external torp said "moving in 59:36" and stuck there.

This happened after installing GW, though I'm don't know it there's a connection. Any ideas how to fix this?? :hmm:

I've had part of this problem with my GW 1.0 installation - I get the same error message and the crew refuses to bring in the aft externals unless I also put some folks in the bow torpedo room for some reason. However, once I do that (putting men in both rooms) I have always been able to go ahead and finish the process of bringing the aft external torps on board - I've never had them get stuck during the process, unless my men have gotten too tired, in which case I've been able to fix it by rotating fresher crewmen into the torp rooms from the other stations. Not sure what could be causing the process to get stuck like that - hope someone else here can sort it out for you.

Good luck!

@ Shegeek

Are you using the 24 hour fatigue mod or the 8 hour version of the same?

Putting crew in both compartments did the trick! Thanks!

@ Shegeek: Glad that sorted it for you.

@ Kpt. Lehmann: I'm also using the 24-hour fatigue model with my GW 1.0 install, in case you're keeping score

Here you go. This file corrects the entries that can cause torpedo load completion failure when using the24 Hour fatigue model option in GW.

This file is JGSME ready. Enjoy.
