Default I want to get German audio

I've played the sim a long enough time to work out what the crew would be saying now according to different circumstances. Is it possible to switch the English speaking audio over to German without buggering up the game or my saves?

Default German

Are there any translations of the german speech and text in the game. I would like to use the German setting also, but my command of the language is so poor I can't understand much of it. I have the same problem with the Das Boote dive sequence. I am an American and my foreign language skills are very poor, except for Latin and not too many submarine services use this.

I have mine set as Hunter posted so I still get English text if in doubt
But you soon get used to the commands\voices

the german audio is much better in my opinion. i dunno the english speak is too dull for me. like when you hit "C" the english speakers just go "crash dive" all mellow and stuff. but the germans go AAAAVAAAAASS! or whatever they yell i love it. i play with german audio. and english text. after awhile you learn the german number system so you can just pretty much tell what they are saying.

Well, I,m Dutch so I pretty much understand German.

and also I hate Synchronized crap
for example movies...if they put the voice in Spanish (where I live) the movie has been made look stupid and the story has been make weaker...and the humor is tottaly stupid I,m All for Original Languages !

Default Lost a Crash Dive Voice

Hi: I had made some vids a while back and I did a crash dive and the voice file was as follows: ALARM!!! then a continuous bell ringing while there are other german voices as the sub made it's crash dive. I have lost that particular crash dive voice when my career as U-51 in patrol 44 got corrupted and I have been unable to find that file anywhere. I have tried fresh installs but that particular crash dive voice sequence has not been in any of the new installs. Does anyone have it or know where I can get it? I would be eternally grateful if I could get it.

I have managed to record it from the vid using my microphone and the wave file is 380 kb. However, I do not have an audio device that will remove everything except the voice. However, it is not a good sample.

I really need that speech.

Just a guess Rob but try the Das Boot sound pack from Uboat.real simulation

All I could find was Das Boat clothes and Loading Screens, no sound files.

I went to their main page and did a search for the das boat crash dive voice and it came up with a bunch of files. I can't download all of them, some of them are huge.

I sure wish someone knew exactly where I could get it.

It's something like that but right after he says alarm, a bell or something starts ringing continuously while the rest of the voices are heard through it.

Unfortunately the Das Boot files are from the movie, so they won't be translated at the bottom of the game screen. All the original German voice files from the game have subtitles.

Rob, try my 'Sailor Steve.zip' at U-boot.Realsimulation's audio section. I did a huge collection taken from the old SHII DBSM mod, including the crash dive you're probably looking for.
