Thanks, I well remember that song; it was a bit of a surprise when Kris Kristofferson first released the song and got not a little comment at the time...

This is something I found while perusing Quora posts; the question asked was: Which song has the most annoyingly meaningless lyrics ever?; the answer that popped up first was this ditty and I'm not sure, but I seem to detect an antipathy towards a particular Robert...

I think I'll nominate this song...

Smoke em if you got em.

Commander Cody and the Lost Planet Airmen.

Grandpa was a 2 packs a day man, lived to be 102 and only died when his motorcycle failed to take the curve.

When people talk about great Guitarists, I'm always surprised David Gimour of Pink Floyd or Robin Trower are rarely mentioned. This is a 1974 Appearance on TV in the U.K on the BBC Network of a young Robin Trower and Bassist / Vocalist James Dewar and Drummer Reg Isidore. James had a soulful, smokey blues vocal style that fit perfectly with Robin Trower's playing.

Robin Trower - Bridge of sighs.

@Eisenwurst Where did you dig out "Commander Cody and his lost planet airmen"??
Friend has a 60 or so year old LP of them including those:

From a time when the US were fun, at least when you weren't black, or living abroad

@ Eisenwurst. Happy Lunar New Year. I hope your year is off to a good start.

@ Catfish: You had mentioned Commander Cody and his lost Planet Airmen.

One of his most famous and one a Family Friend used to play for me all the time on his Guitar when I was young.

This is just a fun song.

Commander Cody - Hot Rod Lincoln.

Hi Robert, Yep.....a lot of closure ( about time...). 14 years of my life I won't get back, ruined health, old age. But now I got a lot of free time....I should be doing important stuff....but I end up "wasting time" with a few very good friends

A good thing about Lunar New Year is there's no bloody fireworks

Hope all is well with you and yours

Hi Kai, glad you like 'em Happy Lunar New Year to you 2 guys.

Over the past couple of years, Rumer has become my most favourite singer beside Dido.

Beth Rowley, early in her career. Lost track of her.
