Issues with the Uboat and Crew

I just bought SH5 and installed it along with TWOS which made it playable (before this, I was completly unable to complete the initial mission).

The only persistant problem is that everytime I save a campain, exit and come back to the game, the exterior of the uboat and the crew are grey. The crew is grey until they go inside. The texture colors come back if the Uboat goes under water for a moment. I have tried several different things without success. I have the Uplay version.

I am running it on an acer laptop with an Nvidia rtx 3060 and windows 11.

I also noticed that days and nights are always dark.

I think I figured out what it was. I had copied the Silent Fire 1.2 mod to the data folder. Luckily I had backed up the data folder so I restored it and that fixed it. I am able to use some functions from the silent fire 1.2 in SH5 1.5 as long as I activate it after I initiate the campaign or as long as I activate other mods prior to it....weird. Must not be compatible.


Is there anything close to Silent Fire or a new version for V1.5 with TWOS. I know it takes away realism, but I use it on SH4 and I like it. I get a few quick kills and done.
