I am enjoying CDII on my iPad. I am unable to inflict any serious damage on the side mission fuel dumps. Also, I get positively hammered trying to figure it out!
Deck gun does minor damage, AA doesn’t work, torpedoes no go. Could use a hint! |

The "Large Fuel Tank" takes a few shells to blow up, but I prefer to use the Oerlikon or Bofors AA gun on them to conserve ammo.
Some data that might help:

Thanks! Does it make any sense to try to take out the shore battery?

If it's protecting a base that you want to pulverize, it's worth taking out any defensive gun(s) first. But if it's a standalone gun (e.g. protecting a bay entrance), I usually just sneak past them.

To damage fuel dumps in Crash Dive II, use the deck gun with repeated, precise hits. Aim directly at the base of the tanks and keep firing they take several hits to destroy. Torpedoes and AA won’t work, so stay surfaced, clear enemy threats first, and keep your distance to avoid return fire.
