Negative, negative on that...it's 30 KILOMETERS!:rotfl:

But they're right; you don't have to go all the way back to base.

I always do, though; I like the harbor traffic too much.

As soon as I fulfill my patrol requirements I simply Exit and select Return to Base. Usually, I'm almost out of torpedoes and sometimes I don't have any torpedoes left because I always run into convoys and play haveck, sinking everything in sight. So don't get in my way. :rotfl: or you might accidently get sunk.

"Dock at..." = credit
"Return to base" = no credit

Just to be a little more clear, the "Dock at...." must be referring to YOUR base. If you are at Kiel for example with a few of the map mods you may get one or 2 other harbours within the 30KM limit.

But as long as you get "Dock at YOUR BASE" you will get full credit for a round trip patrol.

I always dock at the Base, just of the hell of it
one time I messed up by leaving the comp running and went full speed into my last waypoint about 60 meters away from the subpens and it ended with heavy floodings and 29% of my hull left

yep...smoking an cigarette....its bad for youre health and of others

I tested this after a couple boring no tonnage patrols and I never got a renown bonus for docking at base

Okay, I'm curious. How do you guys "Dock at Base" after you have finished your required mission?

Get within 30km of your base, you'll notice a short pause in the game as it loads the harbor graphics, hit ESC, choose "Dock at XXXXXX", collect extra reknown for returning to base.

Just return to the dock where you left. You'll find your wife or girlfriend (virtual..not real ) waiting for you.

It's fun, because I left the port where I had impregnated one of the nurses and when I returned she had a baby...and threw that at my u-boat instead of the flowers....lucky Hans caught the blighter.
