I like to load electirc torpedoes in my stern tube and the other day I fired one at a C3. By the way I am using the NYGM mod making the sinking of ships with one eel almost imossible. Having run out of forward torpedoes I decided to fire the stern under his smoke stack to flood the engine room and immobilize her and then surface and deck gun her. To my total astonishment she broke in half and sunk immediately.
I have shot many steam eels at C3 and impacting under the smoke stack with them never exploding. Most of the times I fire 2 of them and she still doesn't split. Was that just a lucky shot or is the electric eel more powerful? I was using magnetic pistol but I always do that on C3s Any ideas? |

My guess is that you simply got an critical hit. There is a small chance for that to happend. And when it does, The ship break in two pieces.
