Hello.
I'm unable to join other lobbies after the netcode changes. It just says "connecting", then the prompt disappears and it won't let me join. I tried 7 different lobbies last night to no avvail. I have port forwarded for peer to peer steamworks according to https://support.steampowered.com/kb_...8571-GLVN-8711 Does anyone else have the same issue, or have solved it? EDIT: Impressive. ten minutes after this post, a patch got released. Will test later today if it fixed it. Last edited by Sharpshooter; 03-11-20 at 02:54 AM. Reason: spelling mistake |

Hello. Sorry for taking a little while.
The patch worked. Turns out it was a lobby visibillity issue and not a networking one. I just saw "Friend's only" lobbies and was thus unable to join, which got fixed in patch 0.21b. It works today with normal lobbies, and no port forwarding is necessary to join games. I tried joining twice. With and without port forwarding, and both worked. I haven't tested if port forwarding (The p2p ports) is necessary for hosting your own game yet. |
