What !?
Hello skippers,
I'm very new here and in the subsim too, so first thing "Hello/presentation asked at end of registering as asked" (Didn't see dedicated topic) Then What !? I think there is something I don't understand with the subs, I just got crushed at 140 in a VIIB who reach 220 once... but ! I was escaping from a "not that good" convoy attack, 4 fishes launched, 2 hits, 1 missed, and 1 blow-up halfwayy from target, got pinged, crash dive, full foward, hard starboard then DC rain, took a small hit but no flooding, so silent running, engine stop and keep the dive aiming 200, crushed at 140, game over >What !? Notable thing maybe, the DC hit damaged my e-compressor. Other question is there an optimal depth for hydrophone listening when searching targets ? |

Welcome aboard!
Asahvan! obviously that DC did more damage than surmised....or a DC lodged in your conning tower(wintergarten)and 'kablooy'd' at it's preset 140 depth as U descended....

if your hull integrity is no longer 100% you will crush at lower depths, the boat doesnt need to be flooded .
