Lockups after time compression use

get a lockup with sh-3 afer i use time compression . I have 3 mods installed fubars viib skin , The terrain upgrade , And uboat warace 1.6 . Its kind of hard playing the game without time compression . Whats causing this? Ans how can i fix it?

Lockups generally don't happen unless theres something nearby. Sort of a cheesy way to know theres a convoy nearby.

Well i thought is was related to the time compression but its not . There is also nothing nearby . I think it has something to do with the big wave mod that is a part of the aces campain 1.6

So remove it.
Process of elimination tell the problem goes away

Do official uninstall of SHIII.

Remove all crap that is left behind.

Reboot.

Check again for crap that is left behind.

Do fresh install of SHIII + latest official patch.

Reboot.

Test SHIII, including all actions that previously caused problems.

Now install 1st mod, test SHIII, including all actions that previously caused problems.

Now install 2nd mod, test SHIII, including all actions that previously caused problems.

Now install 3rd mod ............................

Etc etc, this is an easy way to find out what is causing the problem

If you mean the little 2-or-3 second 'freezes', I've heard that but I don't believe it. I have it do that when I'm in port, when I'm already chasing somebody and at other times when there were no enemies around. I'm of the opinion that at high TC the game pauses to catch up with itself from time to time. It may also happen when something is nearby, but I've had it happen lots of times when I could be pretty certain that was not the case.

no i,m talking a complete lockup here . Cant even go to desktop and stuff . I also get ctd,s allong with it now . The thing is i really love teh u-boat war ace campaign . I allready did a full reinstall of sh3 .

Did you test the game after the re-install with only the patch 1.4 ? And after installing each mod ?
