SH3 GWX gold game help please

Hi I’ve been trying to get GWX stable on my windows 10 pc for ages.
No matter what I try the game always crashes during the mission loading screen when loading a save. Or if I’m lucky enough to get into the game it’ll crash randomly at any given time.

Could be within first ten minutes could be three hours later. I’ve tried numerous fresh installations, different compatibility settings and none seem to work. The game is via steam.

Vanilla works fine but I’m finding it hard to go back to after playing with GWX gold.

I’ve scoured forums and tried numerous workarounds but i’ve not been successful. If anyone has any ideas it’d be greatly appreciated. If not, could someone recommend to me a similar more stable mod for SH3 using windows 10?

I love this game so much but it’s been a right nightmare to play and there’s nothing more disheartening than being four hours into a game and crashing to desktop.

As far as I understood correctly, you probably need 4Gb patch

You could also try running the game in Win7 compatibility mode and see if that helps.

Better use h.sie hardcode patch with 4GB patch incorporated.
Standalone 4GB patch is obsolete after this.
