Need assistance GWX 3.0

So no matter what I do, no matter how many times I reinstall the game and start fresh, whenever I try and do ANY start to a career with GWX 3.0 installed the game reaches the 90% mark when loading the mission then just crashes. After trying probably close to about 30-40 times in just this past week alone I maybe managed to do two or three missions then the game just fails to load any more, and with those three missions I beat they all had to be different career saves because they wouldn't load past doing the first mission.
Here's a recording showing my example from when I had just installed the game fresh and install GWX then try and play it (without any of the JSGME submods for GWX) and even then starting a career from the very VERY beginning of the game it still crashes:

I could really do with some assistance solving this ASAP since I have always had a deep love for the game but the stock game really feels boring compared to GWX and with certain things like the games extreme mouse sensitivity for whatever reason making it hard to play on stock

Don’t forget you need to tell it to run in administrator mode and probably win xp service pack 2 settings. And the 4 gb patch will prob help to

Hi Rooster899 Sorry to hear your having problems with your SH3/GWX3 install

1.when you install sh3 from steam into your games folder did you run the stock SH3 Game so it creates a SH3 Folder in you documents for your career save ect
so you know the stock game works

2.my disc install of SH3 Folder is called SilentHunterIII no spaces ive seen posts in the past stating you must change default steam install name
Silent HunterIII name to the one above no spaces

3.i would install the 4gig patch as mentioned above by scunnygsi

I managed to run it as admin and on windows xp sp2, issue is that it still crashes

I had very bad CTD problems when loading the career saves, using GWX and widegui mod + some other esthetic mods. Installing the 4GB patch helped me.
In case you have more than 2 GB of RAM available I recommend you try that and report the results.

I've run games like HOI4 and the vanilla version of SH3 runs perfectly on my laptop.

SH3 sometimes needs more than 2 GB of RAM to run a bigger mod, or combination of mods. If you only have 2 Gigs then you have to experiment with what you can and can't install. If you have more than 2 Gigs you still have the problem that Windows won't use more than 2 at a time. Hence the 4-Gig patch which lets you use more. Most of us have run into that problem at one time or another.
