Ten years ago today the last SubSim meeting in Houston began. Most of us had flown into the city the day before. Some of us stayed at Neal's house in Pearland; most stayed in hotels. It was fun meeting so many people I had corresponded with for years.

On the 10th we took the tour of the battleship USS Texas, went to the gun range just too late, ate a couple of good meals together and started a good Q&A with Dan Dimitrescu, developer of SH5. It was a great start to a great couple of days.
