That with a missile range of 5,000 nm these fleet ballistic missile submarines don't really have to go that far out to sea from their home bases. I always thought this of the Russian fleet due to it's being so close to the Arctic Ocean, enjoy

We didn't have to, but when there's a big ocean out there it better ensures your survivability by making you harder to locate.
