Default WAC 5.0 Question

The start date of the campaign is the 1st AUG 1939 yet Poland was not invaded and war declared until September 1, 1939. So the question is what am I meant to be doing on patrol for 1 month as sinking neutral ships is unrealistic for my play style. Can I alter the start date in 1939? Which file has that info so that I can change the date to September 1, 1939?
Before anyone responds with start in 1940 on the campaign start screen I do not wish to do that..

Cheers

Just edit the flotilla.cfg file in data/Cfg with notepad.
Change the start month to 9 as described here for the years.

You only habe to look for Kiel vor WHV as base.

Hi Hansolo78

I made the changes to the 3 starting bases by changing the 8 of August to a 9 for September. No other changes were done. Started a new campaign and when I went to change base in 1939 at selection screen the game straight CTD. Is there any other start date that is required in any of the other files that you may remember? Just changing 8 to a 9 shouldn't have caused a CTD I my mind but it does for some reason.
