I picked up a Medium Old Split Freighter 2. Got its range and bearing, waited 5 mins to get its course. Burned at ahead full to cut it off further down the line. Got there at almost exactly the right time. Turned the boat so AOB was 90 degrees or there abouts - this is the only bit I didn't calculate I guessed it was around 97 odd. Input all the data... Fired tubes 1 and 2 and waited about 30 seconds (range was about 1000m)... Lost my nerve and fired tubes 3 and 4! One of them hit, dunno which one! Quick question, on the Gyroangle display (at the bottom of the TDC), where it says the degrees is that where it is indicating to me that I should fire the torp once the target crosses that line on the periscope? The first 3 I fired were when it crossed 0 but the 4th I saw that the gyroangle was at 10 degrees so I fired the final one then. As I say, I'm not sure which one hit. Anyways, I'm well please with that, consider me hooked on this game! ![]() |

Haha! Nearly 4 hours later and I'm still playing. Just made it to the North Sea. Better go get some sleep though ad pick it up tomorrow - those liberty ships aren't gonna sink themselves!

I play the game 100% realistic and only try the 90 degree position, use the stadimeter to calculate the distance and the clock to calculate the speed, then move the Periscope until the Gyroangle display with both arrows is pointing upwards and you know when to fire the torpedos, the rest is guts feeling. But by now I get the targets by 90 percent.
![]() Save your torpedos normally 1 is sufficient (destroyers smaller ships and tankers) sometime two. If there is no destroyer aroind you can surface and sink it with you deck gun. Take care to keep distance as they might be able to fire back...
