Default Seeking sites/stores in search of gaming rig.....

I'm currently in the process of getting the cash together for a new pc, and am looking for any sites or stores that sell extreme custom gaming rigs. I'm obviously looking to spend as little as possible but without sacrificing performance/quality. Basically assume a maximum of 5000 euro, which is USD$6,300 or CDN$7,000 or about GBP£3,500. May seem like a lot over there, but thats what the good stuff costs over this neck of the woods. I'm looking for places that offer a selection of custom moddable tower cases and top of the range, latest tech type components to kit it out with. I'm hoping to put together a serious machine running an AMD FX series processor, 4 gig of RAM, Twin SLI GFX cards and a top of the line Audigy sound card or better. These are pretty much the basics, the rest is gravy. Anyone any inkling? Thanks for your thoughts.

That is a ton! Sounds like you are starting from the ground up though.

I am taking the dual x1900 XTX's however since they perform much better in Oblivion than the NVidia cards do. Check out the scores. It is not so much the average FPS that you should be worried about, but you should be more inclined to pay attention to the Minimum FPS. THis is represented by the little what bar in the center of the score itself for any one particualr card. Notice how far off the 7900 GTX drops off in minimum FPS - you will notice this and it will be annoying. The ATI however has very minimal drop for minimum frame rate.

Of course going ATI will make you want a Crossfire R580 based board instead. I have the ASUS A8R32-MVP Deluxe on order to handle my x1900 XTX's http://usa.asus.com/products4.aspx?l...42&modelmenu=1

Anandtech Oblivion scores:

The gate score is the only real important one for higher end cards because it represent travel outdoors. In towns and in dungeons, lower end card do just fine. My older 9800 AIW choked in some areas outdoors, so I know what they are talking about. I was dropping to like 15 FPS or even less in some areas due to too much detail being present.

I forgot to mention something - don't buy an FX60 dual core. The FX57 beats it so the FX60 is a waste of $$$. Best CPU has got to be the X2 4800+ for the money.
