This is terrible news. I liked his acting in Tombstone, Apollo 13, U-571 and Twister among others.

ohh gz, I watched U-571 about 2-3 months ago and didn't know that he was in there. I had so much fun screaming at the screen 'GAME OVER, MAAAAN!!!" whenever he had a scene

Lovely touch by the Storm chasing community there, more than a few of them probably got into it through that film. They did a similar thing on May 31 2014 IIRC, to commemorate a year after Tim Samaras was killed.
