Default Music Service

Anyone know of a service that will take a list of artists and song names and put them together in a CD or download? This wouldn't be top 40 stuff. Mostly electric blues.

I'm not sure if I know what you are asking but If you already have the Music, It's easy to format everything to an MP3 or other formats and burn it to a CD or DVD. As far as retail compilations, I'm not aware of any. If by electric blues, you mean Stevie Ray Vaughan, Buddy Guy, Ry Cooder, B.B King and the like, I'm with you.

If you have this music on a vinyl album, It's not hard to run it through a computer and burn it off to a medium of your choice like a CD. There are services that will do that for you as well, for a fee. This way, you can have all your favorites in one place, on a CD.

No I have recording music to other formats down (pretty much) but what i'm talking about is a physical list of song/artists that I have compiled from listening to the radio and other sources. When I heard one I really liked I wrote it down. Now I have a list of about 40-50 songs which i'd like my own copies of.

Here is the list:

Song Title Artist

Toxic Hootenany / The Bluefields
Talking Trash / BB Chung King
Highway Blues / Dave Chastain Band
Girl you like to steam.... / Zach Prather
Come back crazy / Innes Sibum
Lets go bowling and drink some beer / Lance Keltner
Sing me the song / Alistar Greene
Broke down on the Brazos / Government Mule
Never been in love / Steve Lacy Band
Tight rope / Damon Fowler
Telephone man / Jakes Blues
Bird has flown / WT Feaster
Upside down blues / Joe Columbo
Whats my name / Henrik Frieschlader
Brown Sugar / ZZ Top
Used To Be Kris Pohlmann
Good Life / Shane Dwight Band
El Paso Sugar / Lance Lopez
Night Train / Tab Benoit
This time my time / Julian Sas
Guntown / Danny Bryant
Unchain my heart / Johnny Winter f. Blues Brothers horns
Watermelon and Black Coffee / Michael Katon
Getting Tighter / Craig Erickson
Money to Burn / Samantha Fish
High Tide and High Water / Miller Anderson
On a Real Lonely Night / Warren Haynes
Old School Thang / Billy Hector
People of the World / Billy Hector
Peace Pipe / Cry of Love
Business Straight / Henrik Freischlader Trio
Don't Love / Rob Tognoni
Just can't Leave / The Oliver White Group
One Step Ahead / Vince Converse
Telephone man / Texas Boogie
God moves on the water / Paul Fenton
Crazy Love / Fernando Noronha
Counted / The 484 South Band
Beautifully Broken / Government Mule
Gone so long / Howling Diablos
Mystic Dream / Ryan McGarvey
Coming back (Across the water) / Bernard Allison
Way down we go / Kaleo
In the wind / The Barflys
First Time I met the Blues/ Michael Katon
Ain't Got no Money / Sari Schorr

Wow. There are artists and songs in your list I have never heard of. I will look them up and see if there is a compilation available but I doubt it since your list is ecletic and extensive in nature. You may end up getting them from ITunes individually and burning your own CD. Being somewhat involved in Music, Steve may also have some ideas. Apparently, Vienna isn't the only one here with a wide variety of tastes in music.

I will have to give some on your list a listen.

Nice list. I too am unfamiliar with many of them, but I won't be for long.

One thing I'd suggest is to google each one of them. Time consuming, I know, but you never know what cool stuff you'll find. You might also check to see if some of them are on YouTube.

I would look to Amazon music and Itunes for individual download. I have done similar with compiling a list and downloading each individually.

Thanks guys. If you're a fan of Electric Blues you'll like these songs too. That Johnny Winter version of Unchain My Heart with the Blues Brothers Band horn section for example is just awesome.

I heard most of them on a internet radio station called "BellyUp4Blues" http://bellyup4blues.com/ I've mentioned these folks before I think. It's listener supported so if you like what you hear a small donation to them would be greatly appreciated i'm sure (kinda like this place).

If you can find your tracks on Youtube, there are free online converters to rip the audio straight to your computer, that way you don't have to shell out one bent nickel!

4K Video Downloader is free and it has the option of downloading only the audio track in mp3 format; has a lot of very good options and allows the user to set up a list of tracks so you don't have to wait for one track to DL before you add another...

Great! I use Amazon for music. I'm just a guy who goes against the grain and refuses to us iTunes/Apple products or Android. I like to keep it simple using one OS. Windows is it as I use it just about everywhere. Glad you found some plus some more music on Amazon!

In fact, I'm cranking some banjo tunes on Amazon as the typing of this post. Never mind me.
