Legendary Tennessee coach and winningest coach Pat Summitt dies at 64

Tennessee Volunteer Women's basketball coach, Pat Summitt has passed away this morning at the age of 64. Pat coached the Tennessee Volunteers for 38 years and has never had a losing season and won more games than anyone in college basketball history, man or woman. Pat was diagnosed with early onset dementia in the form of Alzheimer’s.

It was as if she were staring down her disease with the same icy glare she made famous while winning eight national championships and the respect of a nation that didn’t pay much attention to women’s sports when she was growing up.
