Default Young Buna in the Bahamas

Young Buna was offered extended leave with pay rather than rejoin his ship on 6th December but rather than spend Xmas at home with his family he decided to return to his ship, a decision I can understand because he needs twelve months sea time in before he can sit his Masters.

What I didn't know was the fact that two days after he joined his ship she went into dry dock (counts toward sea time) in the Bahamas so he is honest in admitting he is now a tad bored and wondering if he made the correct decision.

You made your bed son so you will now have to lie in it (praying the wife doesn't see this post).

I'll post a few pictures in a little while.

Does the Bahama layover count as sea time?

It can happen, everything over there is geared towards tourism. Its not exactly a hotbed of activity in the off season.

Yes, so I suppose that is the method in his madness. Ship has now left dock and is back at Fort Lauderdale preparing for a Caribbean cruise of Xmas and New Year.

Same where I live. Everything is geared for the turist and in the winter almost every resturant is closed and the prices they take

Some of the pictures he sent.

The ship doesn't have the traditional rudder and propellers but is propelled by a combination of both known as The Azipod System:

13 shots on the floor?

Is it just the photo or do those stabilizers extend beyond the side of the ship?

I think it'll take more than a couple oars to move it.
