PCI-E x1 and x16 are only interfaces I believe... this is one of those few new things I have yet to really research, but if you are experiencing poor frame rate, you might want to consider checking out the clock speed of the video card core processor and memory.
Also make sure not a whole lot of programs are running when you play.

There are no Geforce 6600 with a PCI-e x1.
only x16 does exist. so don't worry also a Geforce 6600 with 512 MB doesn't exist but if you experience poor frame rate, press Ctrl-Alt-Delete and check your CPU without playing SHIII. it should be around 5%, if you don't run any big progs. when it is, close those programs. also you could try to downtune your videosettings. |

Noticed that your graphics driver is version 81.98.
The latest is 84.21. www.nvidia.com I didn't look at www.creative.com to see about your sound drivers, but those should be updated too. Same with chipset drivers for your motherboard. www.nvidia.com (look for nforce4 sli chipset drivers.) With your setup you should have NO problems running SH3. |
