How do I make a slidable object on the nav table?

One some sub interiors, the coffee cup, the clipboard, and the binoculars slide back and forth.

I added a good luck charm to my table.

But how do I get it to slide back and forth?

Tonight I am going to try to just copy the coffee cup, paste it, then replace the 3d model with a new one/ Wish me luck!
