Just installed this and I love it. I have experience with the periscopes, but the UZo is a little strange. can someone tell me how to range with this. How do you read the marks on the UZO? any tutorial or explananation would help.
also, i cannot zoom in with my periscope. is that how it is supposed to be?

Just to add to this post, I have watched the tutorial and it does show an attack on surface with uzo, but no explanation to the markings on the uzo! I assume I would use the WO and his inputs but I was hoping to have the knowledge to do it myself. I believe a real commander should be able to do just about everything himself on the boat, he has people to help him, but I would believe he would have some knowledge to get simple information like range from a UZO scope.

The idea is that the Uzo can be used to estimate the range by comparing the target's mast heigh to the marks visible on the Uzo. I haven't used Olc's Gui but from your description the Uzo seems to be similar to MaGui F. One can make a chart like the one shown in one of the screenshots here: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...8&postcount=65
Olc's Documents should have info on the marks chosen for the Uzo. Different GUI's seem to have different values.
