HI Kaleuns
I'm starting to use "4 bearing method of Kuikueg" premise that I read several tutorials, but these are my doubts and I need some advice: 1- How deep Hydrophone best to use? 2- How many minutes do detections? (Often with an interval of 10 minutes I lose the ship !!)You how many minutes you do detections? 3- Using H'sie Stiebler V16B1 Hydrophone fix at what speed is best for my U-boats? 4-Which single mission advise me to start learning the "method 4 bearing" Thank You ![]() |

A depth of 20-30m is a good one for long distance listening and initial target plotting. You should wait at least 15mins between taking bearings and even longer if the target has only moved 1 degree in 15 mins. If you are losing contacts after only 10 mins, the target must be moving away from you and you were already at a very long range to start with.
