Default New Flag recognition Panel for the Periscope&UZO RELEASE

I was looking to change this since i came across it the first time,
And i'm testing diferent stuff to add insted the half bock cover that is situated on the Periscope and UZO...

Screenshot ( This image is reduced and it's not the actual sise)

Tested allredy and it's working perfectly...

The question is:

Is it really needed This flag recon, over the UZO and Periscope?

What do you think it would be better to have over there insted?

I'll apreciate any sujestions and ideas!!!

------------------------------------------------

Done it boys & Girls!

The new version is the one on the screenee above...

I think it look great but I rather have a traditionnal clip board instead of wooden kitchen's knife planks

I like the way you integrated the maps under the charts.

Is it coming in two parts or just a sheet like the old nationnality mod?

Great stuff JCWolf.

I have to agree with Jonz though about the wooden clip-boards.

Maybe try beat-up/worn out metal instead?

I can change that in a minute , also i thought at the begining to
add the 2 clip boards without the back part just the clip bards?!

How about adding the flag recognition to the recognition manual?

Just a test pic I took:

It's a good idea but since Jonz is working on the new Recon. manual i think maybe we can present that idea to him, also i think it would be a litlle hard to find the proper recon contry flag you're looking for, it would take a amount of time to reach and look for the flag you whant, i mean we are talking about something that you're doing during a Periscope search, and most of the times you don't have much time to recognise the flag that the ship you're observing haves!

Just an other example how a page could look like for JonZ's big layout:

It an idea I've been thinking about for a few time. I don't think it is possible since it require the entry of a fake ship that could possibly introduce instability to the game, like CTD. Plus, I can't get rid of the ship profiles Datas for a single page like drafts and lenghts etc.

However, it can be introduced on the cover for each nationnality, but would require more disk space because the display area will increase by power of 2. (512x256 will now be 512x512). OR... I can just reduce the flags to incorporate the warzones datas without redoing the size of the nationnality area.

There it goes an update of mi latest developement on this Mod...

Made a feww changes, and add new apearence for the Clip boards, thought i would like to take off that background, and i'm still making some tests, to add some kind of doble entry on this gragable flag recon...

Also i whanted to give diferent look to each of the to clip boards, and done it....

Jonz, do you know how do i take that background off, i mean i know how to take it off, the problem is when i'me saving just the
2 clip boards toghether without the Background map and table, it seems yhat must be a way to save it for in the game just apear the clip boards without the background....

I have to save it as a Tga file, so when i try to save it without the background in the game apears with a white background???!!!

How can i make it without???

You have to make a contour Alpha channel in TGA 32 bits compressed.

Otherwise it won't work. Make sure the format of your image is sized by power of 2 (ie 2,4,8,16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024....)

I never used these programs so I can't really tell...

Try to find how to save a selection or something.

In Photoshop they are Alpha channel layers. They are saved selections and they are lost if you use an unsupported formtat file or compression level.

Tga files 32 bits allow 1 alpha layer to be saved.
