I am not sure what you mean. There is only one DF game.
Though, the playerbase is split between the various version, some like the older
40d and 34.xx version, I'm using the latest 40.xx.

If you mean the genre, then there is Gnomoria, which is basically DF, but with fancier graphics and less features.
Haven't tried it in ages, so I have no idea at which stage it is these days.

Well the only hurdle I have when considering playing the vanilla DF is its lack of graphics. Hence I would like to know if there is a version with a graphical interface.

Ah, well the Starter Pack comes with a couple of tilesets that change the ASCII graphics to actual 16x16 graphics.
