It is very unlikely that SH6 will be created by ubisoft, especially when its not going to make them a lot of money :/

Ubisoft is so very bad at quality control that I would hope they do not even attempt it.

It's the same old thing time and time again: Nice out of the gate and then chopped off and shipped 5 months before it is ready with bugs that cannot be fixed.

I am over it.

I think the days of big name studios and publishers doing naval sims (or any other sims) are long gone. I think its going to be the indies and smaller companies.

It would be amazing if someone like Battlefront did a U-boat sim. Ahhh to dream!

This is not necessarily true. Look for example at Far Cry, these games have been excellent.

Mate I'm sorry but SH5 is not updated anymore. SH6 I highly doubt because Assassin's Creed Unity had some glitchy start. Ubisoft is focusing on other things now. R.I.P Silent Hunter Franchise. Hope those indie developers come in but don't make the game sooo demanding!

If were lucky an indie dev will make sub sims (or other sims) that are realistic. I don't think big companies will make these type of games anymore.

There's still a submarine sim market out there... waiting... lurking...

...searching for a target!

Silent Hunter is one of the best games in the entire series to me. This game has really given me a "blast from the past". If only a different company would had gotten hands on Silent Hunter series we would have seen some of the best subsim games to date. Ubisoft is kind of falling apart and soon will need to start selling licenses to games. Everyone hopes that we can get a new Silent Hunter but the chances are low. There are not even bug fixes anymore for SH5. I hope we get a new one.

I think it's a shame that they didn't include the type 9 boats or the type 21's. They really should have been incorporated into this simulation. Especially if your using Open Horizons!
