Damn...it was pretty unlikely anyone would have survived, but there's always a small sliver of hope. Still, if this wreckage is the AsiaAir flight, then at least they have found it and hopefully the black box will be found and some closure brought to this, unlike the Malaysian flight.

Well, it seems like there are multiple bodies that have been found now, and none have had life jackets or oxygen masks on them, so that's certainly not a good sign

I certainly do hope that some closure to all this is brought quickly, for the sake of the families.

No one hurt fortunately.

Most likely. Hopefully not as badly as Swissair Flight 111. It will be interesting to know if aircraft was in one piece when it hit water.

Virgin had a bit of a hiccup yesterday, one of its 747s had a partial gear failure, the news treated it like it was coming in on fire though apparently.

I thought that was a brilliant landing, not a scrape on the starboard engines. But my 777 pilot mate says the pilot will get a ribbing from all pilots who ever meet him for such a bounce.

I noticed the bounce too, but all things considered it went a lot better than it could have, heck one of the passengers said that it was smoother than a lot of regular landings he's been on.
