Caramel, caramel, and then some more caramel. If it comes wrapped in milk chocolate, so much the better.

I'm also fond of these, it's always a real hit of nostalgia for me when I eat some:

I think I prefer the chewy version over the hard candy version. There are some other sweet/sour things like that, Spree and... I can't remember the name of the one that's *really* sour and tangy.

Possibly my favorite, if only because I don't get them that often, are these:

I love chewy nougat, with nuts in. I like to try not to chew it, however, but see whether I can just suck it until only the nuts remain. Is this wrong?

Candy is dandy but sex won't rot your teeth.

Though I am also partial to a good chocolate. Even more so if it's coupled with peanut butter.

I believe the original saying was "Candy is dandy but liquor is quicker."

Did someone say caramel?

In chocolate?

I also like nougat.

With caramel.

I'm also fond of malted milk...

and mints.

The writer of that little poem, Ogden Nash, amended the verse in the late 60s:

Candy is dandy,
But liquor is quicker;
Pot is not.

My real favorite choice of candy is any thing butterscotch, particularly Werther's...

(However, I still have fond memories of a girl named Candy)...

I don't do much candy but it's dark chocolate and toffee. I prefer dried apricots though.

I am very partial to dark chocolate. The darker the better, such as Lindt 80% cocoa:

Also, their chilli chocolate:

I do also like Indian sweets such as Gulaab Jamen, Rasmalai, Rasgula, Penda and others when I can find them. They are so sweet they make your eyeballs vibrate!

I forgot to mention: I don't suck the nuts.
