Sometimes when loading saves out of dock it gets corrupted.

I simply save more often instead :P

Default Might be a permissions problem with Windows?

It might be a corrupt save file. However, it could also be a read-only problem with your folder where the game was to save. You don't mention which operating version of windows you have. Try running the game in administrator mode and see if that helps.

If the first save game file was corrupt, or refused by windows due to lack of permissions - you won't be able to load it. Start again.

I also remember reading a while back that you should never save within 50 km of port. That might have been the issue, don't know why.

I have never experienced your problem, so am guessing. Good luck.
