without incident I have sh4 on my laptop with windows 8 my problem is getting jsgme to work so I can download a couple of mods. has anyone been able to do this. it is starting to drive me nuts

A little more info would be nice.
I have win 8 and can run JSGME just fine, along with SH4 just fine. What is it doing when you try to run it? |

Downloading mods is done with your webbrowser! JSGME doesn't download anything from the web in that regard. (checking for updates of itself seized to work years ago) It cannot extract them either, you need decompression programs for that like 7-zip or WinRAR or WinZIP. If that is not it, then you have to be a bit more specific in what is not working. Symptoms please.
