Default Blakelock

No surprise in the verdict.

The only surprise is that they bothered going ahead with the prosecution and paid the "eyewitnesses" who were absolutely useless.

Just came across this...

Quote:
The solicitor of the man cleared of killing PC Keith Blakelock in the 1985 Tottenham riots has criticised the authorities for keeping him in prison.

Nicholas Jacobs, 45, was found not guilty on Wednesday of the murder and manslaughter of the officer who was stabbed 43 times at Broadwater Farm.

But he was kept in prison overnight as administrative offices had closed.

His solicitor Tony Meisels said: "It's almost like the last small laugh of the police, to keep him an extra night."

Somebody is leaving themselves wide open to public criticism here.

It would be just another one of many arising from police handling of the murder.

I wonder if this latest attempt by the Met will once again result in more public expense prosecuting the police for fabricating evidence?
