My intent is to keep the driveways clear for emergency services. The D-I-L is disabled as well.

That's your intent and a noble one it is.
But it's not the reason...
You just like playing with your Hufflepuff.
Real Canadians do it without a heated cab. I bet you have a heated cab on your skiddoo too.

Temperature this fine A.M. is 32F going for a high of 39.
Wind NW 10-20 mph.
We are getting wet snotty snow about an inch is forecast. Good thing I bought the scraper blade when I had the chance. I can scrape the snot off the driveways, now.

Driving in that kind of snow is like skating on snot.

It was that kind of crud that caused a woman to spin out and slide backwards into the lift axle on a 5 axle tank I was pulling a few years ago. I told the attending cop that she was lucky that it was me she hit and not a freight trailer. She would have been decapitated if she had hit a 53' tandem trailer. (No lift axles in the middle of the trailer).

A few years back I was working for C-F and got a call to go up to Donner pass. Some lady spun on ice and slid far enough under a 38' pup to brake off the drain valve on the front air tank. Small car went right under and didn't hurt the driver and only dinged up the car some. Went between the landing legs and rear axle and than spun right back out.
One lucky lady. The truck was only going about 15 MPH, it was that slick.

Donner Pass is no place to play Bumper cars.
The scenery is nice though.

I've done Cabbage, Mont Eagle, Donner Pass, Columbia River gorge and that roller coaster ride in Cali. The name escapes me at the moment.

As I approached the incline up Mont Eagle, some arsehat in a jeep passes me, merges right and hits his brakes. Was that you?!?! Pulled that mountain in third gear.

Since 2004 when I bought my Jeep, it's a 2001, it has never been out of Ontario.

I done Fancy Gap a couple of times, too.

If I had caught up with that guy, I would have introduced him to my friend T. Billy.
When I got to the back side of that mountain a skateboard lost his brakes with a load of lumber and went off-roading in a lumber yard. The bonfire was HUGE! Now that I think about it, maybe there was a deity or a guardian angel driving that jeep.
